A letter from our Head Teacher Latest updates June 10 - Newsletter uploaded June 10 - New bistro menu Townhill Primary School Tel: 01698 284776 On behalf of the staff and pupils I would like to welcome you to the Townhill Primary School website. You may be a pupil, former pupil, relative or someone who has just chanced upon the site. We hope you enjoy your visit. Please take time to sign our guestbook as we look forward to reading your comments. Townhill Primary is situated in the Hillhouse/Earnock area of Hamilton. The original school opened in February 1965. Forty-five years later, on the 17th February 2010, we moved into a new building built on the existing school grounds. We are delighted with our beautiful new building which is purpose built to meet the requirements of education within the 21st Century. It has 13 classrooms, a computer suite, a library, two open areas, a dining room and a gymnasium. The school is set on a hill with a grassy area to the front and hard and grassy surface playing areas to the rear. Townhill Primary believes in promoting good citizenship. The climate of the school is built upon a VALUES system. Our agreed values are: - Honest, Respectful, Considerate, Responsible, Cooperative and Independent. Pupils and staff demonstrate in many ways care and concern for the wider community. Pupils are also encouraged to participate in decision making through pupil bodies such as Pupil Council, School Captains, Eco Committee and Health Promotion Group. The school has successfully gained three Green Flags from ECO Schools Scotland and is also the recipient of a Gold Award for being a Health Promoting School. Parents are always welcome within the school and we would be most willing to show any new parent around the building. Please contact the school if you would like any further information.
